Team LeadershipWithout a team, there is no leader
All work is done by the team, not the leader. The leader is essentially a member of the team and is part of the team. Leadership is merely a role played by team members. Without a team, there would be no leader and no need for one. Therefore, the existence of a team is a prerequisite for the existence of a leader.

2020 was a year of awakening for humanity. The COVID-19 pandemic awakened humanity's responsibility to prioritize life. The so-called "human-centered" philosophy, which prioritizes human life, is ultimately just human pride. No matter how time and space change, humanity must translate its thoughts and actions into a state of coexistence and prosperity with all life.Bees collect nectar and simultaneously spread pollen in the same field, demonstrating the duality of life in both the individual and the field. The individual and the field interact, stimulating the vitality of life. The individual may perish, but the field endures. This perspective also applies to understanding the relationship between individuals and organizations, and between organizations and society. If an individual or organization does wrong and persists in wrong practices, the field in which it exists will, like cancer cells destroying the body, eventually deteriorate.Humanity has committed many wrongdoings against society and nature as it has developed, such as war and environmental pollution. Now is the time for profound reflection. The true value of human existence is being tested. It is insufficient to think and act merely for the sake of personal career development, organizational projects, or national progress. We are now in an era of transformation and must be courageous enough to change ourselves and help human society and the planet regain their vitality.
Life continues through transformation and evolution. Transformation is like a pupa transforming into a butterfly, completely different in form and content. Life cannot continue without transformation. Human transformation is a radical renewal of thought and action, a change into a new way of being. Human power is limited at the level of mind and body (individual), but infinite at the level of the heart (field). The power of individuals and organizations is limited, but the power of life is infinite. Utilizing humanity's inherent infinite power to develop finite power can facilitate the realization of individual and organizational potential and the creation of new value. On an individual level, even if the individual ceases to exist, the field continues to exist through memory. On an organization level, even if it achieves temporary success, it will eventually be eliminated if it does not adapt in a timely manner; it's only a matter of time. However, Japan has the largest number of long-lived companies, some of which have existed for hundreds or even thousands of years, demonstrating how the role and contribution of individuals to the field can sustain it for a long time. In short, if an organization possesses a vibrant philosophical concept (thought and action), it is more likely to adapt in a timely manner and maintain long-term healthy development.Today, although material life is becoming increasingly abundant and convenient, and machines and robots are becoming increasingly intelligent, humanity still faces many unresolved challenges, such as globalization and global warming, and the questioning of the meaning of human work and the value of human existence. To overcome this situation, we must transcend individual limitations and bring about change to enhance the vitality of the field. Shouldn't we earnestly explore the inherent human strengths—love, compassion, joy, courage, hope, dreams, sensitivity, intuition, and consciousness—that machines and robots lack? Shouldn't individuals and organizations make the necessary changes, demonstrate the creativity demanded by our times, and strive for a better future society?
The purpose of “Management By Intelligence” is to empower individuals to unleash their creativity in driving change within their organizations. In Japan, this is achieved through MONOZUKURI (value creation), which enhances individual intelligence to promote organizational change. Value creation requires two dimensions of intelligence: "Knowledge Intelligence" and "Wisdom Intelligence.""Knowledge Intelligence" refers to the intelligence that creates value by utilizing existing data, information, and knowledge in the world. It exists not only in humans but also in machines. As we all know, in recent years, machine intelligence in this area (AI) has grown rapidly, and in some fields it has gradually replaced human work."Wisdom Intelligence" refers to the ability to generate knowledge, instinct, and understanding that do not yet exist in the world to create value; it is an inherent power possessed only by humankind. Due to the flaws in the education system inherited from the industrial age, in every country in the world, only a small number of people have utilized this intelligence in their respective fields, such as politics, science, business, and art, demonstrating unparalleled leadership and creativity.
From another perspective, in order to thrive in the upcoming period of accelerated change, both individuals and organizations must do two things steadily and consistently: "do the right thing" and "do things right".The "right" here does not refer to a moral sense, but rather to being just right in the given time and situation, without excess or deficiency, without deviation, and timely. Therefore, "doing the right thing" means that as one moves towards a goal, one promptly recognizes the most pressing need to be addressed in the given time and situation and takes action—essentially, this is management, leadership, and innovation. On the other hand, "doing things right" means being aware of things promptly and taking action in the most appropriate way, at the right time and in the right circumstances. This is essentially management, administration, and operations. To consistently achieve excellent results, doing the former well is a prerequisite for doing the latter well. Both situations require people to be constantly vigilant and have the ability to perceive what is "right" in a given moment and situation.
